Mumbai, 19th October 2026: Building a drinks brand takes more than identifying what consumers want today; it requires recognising what is missing from the market. For Tipsy Tabby, that thinking has shaped its approach to creating a product identity that is playful, distinctive and designed for a generation looking for something beyond conventional choices. With the launch of Tipsy Tabby Strong, the brand takes its next step, building on its existing identity while responding to demand for bolder flavours and a stronger proposition.

At the helm of Tipsy Tabby is Akshay Kasbekar, Partner at the brand and a second-generation farmer, whose journey into the beverage industry draws on his family's agricultural roots and his interest in beverage innovation. With two generations of organic farming experience at Sankalp Farms, an MBA in Agribusiness from Symbiosis and a WSET Level 2 certification in wines, Akshay brings together an understanding of agriculture, business and winemaking. The idea for Tipsy Tabby took shape after he encountered a homemade cashew apple wine made by a family friend using fruit sourced from his family's farm. Intrigued by the potential of fruit-based beverages and the gap he saw in the Indian market, he began researching and experimenting with ways to bring a distinctive offering to consumers, eventually building Tipsy Tabby.

The idea behind Strong emerged from conversations with consumers and trade partners who connected with Tipsy Tabby’s personality but wanted more intensity from the product. The response was to develop a new line that retains the brand’s signature character while bringing greater depth of flavour and a more pronounced profile. Rather than moving away from what Tipsy Tabby stands for, Strong builds on its existing appeal, expanding the brand’s offering to cater to a wider range of preferences.

Available in two variants, Cool White and Wild Red, Tipsy Tabby Strong combines a sweet, Moscato-style profile with lively carbonation. Cool White offers a crisp, juicy flavour, while Wild Red brings a richer, more intense character. Each variant is bottled in a 330 ml glass bottle, carrying forward the brand’s recognisable feline identity and irreverent personality.

The new line is produced at Tipsy Tabby’s own facility, where blending, carbonation and bottling are managed in-house. This allows the brand to oversee the process from production to packaging, with a focus on consistency across both variants.

Tipsy Tabby Strong will launch by the end of October 2026 across select retail outlets in Maharashtra, beginning with Mumbai and Pune. The brand plans to expand distribution across Maharashtra over the coming months, followed by neighbouring states.

With Strong, Tipsy Tabby is building on the foundation of its existing portfolio while exploring new ways to respond to consumer preferences. The launch marks a new phase for the brand, with a continued focus on distinctive flavours, a clear product identity and an approach that does not take itself too seriously.
